USY provided me with an extremely important forum – maybe THE most important forum – to realize that I had certain leadership skills, and that I was passionate about my Jewish identity and about social justice as a core Jewish value. USY definitely not only shaped my development as a leader, but helped me develop those skills and shaped me as a Jewish leader.
